What is it?
Penang Cocktail Week is a week-long gathering of bartending talent from Malaysia and abroad, featuring bar takeovers, parties, and industry-focused events across the city.

Expanded guest list: This year’s roster spans the US, the UK and Canada, alongside talents from India, Taiwan, Vietnam, and China. Expect to see industry heavyweights like Joe Schofield (Schofield’s Bar, Manchester), Kate Boushel (Atwater Cocktail Club, Montreal), and Devon Tarby (Proprietors LLC, LA), plus regional stars such as Yangdup Lama (Sidecar, New Delhi) and Lam Duc Anh (Hybrid, Ho Chi Minh City), just to name a few.
India Cocktail Week collab brings Indian cocktail artistry to Penang with personalities like Aneesh Bhasin (Svami) and Shatbhi Basu, a pioneer in India’s bartending education scene.

Vietnam All-Stars Evening featuring Lam Duc Anh (Hybrid), Quang Nguyen (Stir, Hanoi), Nguyen Huy Hoang (Enigma, Saigon), Nguyen Minh Tuan (Rabbit Hole, Saigon), and Trần Anh Tú (Ministry of Men, Hanoi).
Jack Daniel’s Bangkok Block2Block Party brings Thai nightlife energy to life with bartenders such as Niks Anuman-Rajadhon (Teens of Thailand / Asia Today), Ronnaporn “Neung” Kanivichaporn (Backstage Cocktail Bar), Supawit “Palm” Muttarattana (Vesper), and Chennarong “Janz” Bhumichitr (Find the Locker Room).

Malaysian Invasion: Borneo Edition will showcase East Malaysia’s pioneering bartenders and emerging talents making waves abroad including Joshua Pang, Jason Julian, Anna Sulan Masing, Joe Ngui, Ash Mariano, Rizal Junior, Osmund Bernard, and Amar Pawaka.
Kitchen Takeovers where bartenders will team up with chefs to design food-and-drink pairing menus.

The inaugural Bar Show Malaysia which will be held at Ascott Gurney Penang,
featuring a 7,000-sqft Cocktail Convention Centre with 20+ spirit
and liqueur brand booths, seminars, masterclasses, bartending
activities throughout the day, and closing PCW 2025 with a poolside party at Glass Bar.
