Deanston Virgin Oak launched a limited Chinese New Year 2026 packaging in Malaysia, marking the Year of the Horse with artwork inspired by Scotland’s Kelpies.
The Kelpies are world-famous 30-metre-high, 300-tonne stainless steel
equine sculptures located between the Scottish towns of Falkirk and
Grangemouth.
The Deanston Virgin Oak single malt is matured in ex-bourbon barrels then finished in Virgin American oak for 9–12 months and bottled at 46.3% ABV.
Official tasting notes:
- Nose: Heady virgin oak, bursting with lemon zest and sweet barley sugar, with delicious notes of apple and nutmeg.
- Palate: A delightful sweetness, evoking memories of candied fruits and vanilla toffee, balanced with heather honey.
- Finish: A satisfying light spice, with a rewarding burst of honeyed malt and sweet oakiness.
