Guinness Flavour By Fire Returns

If you love Guinness then you shouldn't miss their Flavour By Fire food festival. Returning this 18th – 20th August at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur, and 2nd – 3rd September at Fort Cornwallis, Penang, this food festival features Guinness-infused flame-cooked food by reknowned chefs and lots of fun.

Ki No Bai Arrives to Malaysia

Irasshaimase Ki No Bai! That's right folks. The Kyoto Distillery has brought its first-of-its-kind plum and berry liqueur to Malaysia!

This new expression is the distillery’s interpretation of British Sloe Gin and inspired by the Japanese umeshu, featuring locally sourced ingredients, such as haskap berries from Hokkaido and ume plums from Kyoto.

The Balvenie’s Makers Project x Ceres Lau

The Balvenie collaborated with local paper artist and sculptor Ceres Lau to showcase an installation titled “5 Rare Crafts and Craftsmen” celebrating the craftsmen behind the making of a Balvenie - Farmers, Malt Men, Coopersmiths, Coopers and the Malt Master. This installation also pays homage to Malt Master David C. Stewart’s legacy of six decades.

The Singleton 40 year old launches in Malaysia

This 40 year old is the third and final bottling (following the 38 and 39) of the Epicurean Odyssey series and is crafted using the Singleton 12 Year Old finished for nearly 3 decades in casks that previously held Ron Zacapa XO.

World Martini Day with The House of Suntory

In conjunction with World Martini Day on 17 June 2023, The House of Suntory embarked on a month-long celebration dedicated to this legendary drink with Roku Gin and Haku Vodka. While martini is traditionally crafted with gin, using vodka is also common (for example, the James Bond "shaken not stirred" martini is famously made with vodka). 
 
14 bars throughout Klang Valley, Johor Bahru, and Penang will showcase their own interpretation of the martini featuring Roku Gin and Haku Vodka from 12 June to 28 July. Check them all out and don't say bojio:

Heineken Malaysia's Star Academy 2023

Calling all bartenders across the nation - the Star Academy 2023 is open for registration at he Star Academy website at www.star-academy.heinekenmalaysia.com

This year’s Star Academy will be combine both Heineken Star Quality and the Guinness Perfect Pour programmes. Training will be held in Selangor, Johor, Penang, Perak, Sabah, and Sarawak.

Registration is open to bartenders at participating Heineken outlets, including restaurants, pubs, and bars.

Heineken Wants to Encourage You to #WorkResponsibly

Heineken recently launched ‘The Ghosted Bar’ campaign to encourage Malaysians to stop ghosting their friends and to #WorkResponsibly. 

This came about after Heineken's YouGov survey which unveiled that 41% of employees in Malaysia have ‘ghosted’ their friends due to work obligations (we at Angeltini are ashamed to say that we have been guilty of this once too many times!), whilst 91% of Malaysians believe that having a good social life helps with managing stress levels at work.
